Introducing Lisa

LOUISE ON LISA

I first met Lisa back in 2017 when she and Dom lived in Hong Kong, as they had decided to get married, so they searched the internet and luckily found me. After sending an enquiry, we arranged a video call (one which suited the time difference!) and we hit it off within minutes!

Both Lisa and Dom’s sense of humour is fantastic!

She got back in touch with me last year, it was lovely hearing that she was coming back to the UK and was looking to compliment her career in training and presenting by becoming a celebrant.

I didn’t hesitate to say that Lisa would be perfect, as she had all the right credentials, she was warm, empathetic, caring, always giving 100%, she listens and has wonderful ideas.  Over the last year we have video called (through lockdown), and met when we could.  We’ve rehearsed, discussed where we are on our adventure through life, it is just like we have been friends forever!

Lisa is a wonderful addition to The Ceremony Company’s recommended celebrants.

THEIR WEDDING.

Lisa and Dom really wanted a celebration with their families and friends here in the UK, she wanted her dad Barry to give her away!   I think that he too really wanted to give her away!!

I created a wonderful ceremony which was perfect for their day, we organised another video call to make some final tweaks and decisions and discuss the plans for the day, I remember we laughed through most of this call.

Lisa and Dom are so warm and fun loving, but I have the utmost regard as I know Lisa is also very organised – arranging her ceremony in the UK whilst living in Hong Kong was no easy task!

It was the 16th of December and sun was shining on that perfect winter’s afternoon.  The venue was Eaves Hall in Clitheroe and it looked amazing (it always does!).

I remember Dom was relaxed and happy and when I popped up to see Lisa who looked amazing, she too was happy, but also very nervous, I reminded her to remember to walk slowly down the aisle and that everyone in that room was on her side and if she still felt nervous just keep her eyes on Dom!

The ceremony was awesome, we added lots of humour including a story of how they met.  Lisa and Dom really enjoyed it, their guests enjoyed it and more importantly their two children enjoyed mummy and daddy’s wedding too.

At last they all had the same surname!

LISA’S REVIEW OF THE CEREMONY COMPANY

I just wanted to thank Louise from the bottom of our hearts for a brilliant ceremony.  Louise was fantastic and set the tone for our fantastic day.

It was exactly what we wanted – especially the humour!!

We received many many compliments from our guests through out the day about Louise and our ceremony.

Thank you.  Lisa and Dom

LISA ON LOUISE

Our ceremony is something that my friends and family still comment on to this day as it was so uplifting, humorous and well, exactly what we had hoped for if not more!

We lived in Hong Kong at the time and we were really worried how we would be able to organise everything – the ceremony especially.

I found the Ceremony Company online and made an enquiry.  By the next day Louise had replied, and we arranged a video call to talk everything through.

We chatted for ages and I felt completely comfortable in sharing my ideas and how we wanted to include our family in the ceremony, how we wanted it to feel.

Louise also shared her thoughts and took us through the whole process making it stress free and easy to manage, especially as we lived overseas.

The ceremony was hands down my most favourite part of our wedding day. We loved it.

A few months after our wedding we were reflecting on our ceremony and how it made us all feel.

I thought to myself – that’s it!  That is what I want be when I return to the UK, I want to be a Celebrant!!

Ever since that day there has always been that niggle that being a Celebrant was meant to be and I was right.

I absolutely love doing what I do and couldn’t have wished for a better mentor in Louise.

It doesn’t feel like a job it feels like a privilege to be allowed to get to know so many lovely couples and play a small part in their special day.
