Bjorn & Aisling’s Boho DIY Wedding

I first met Bjorn and Aisling as good friends of my daughter and her partner Johnny, I’ve watched as they became a family, with their little boy Tadhg, then getting engaged.  I was thrilled they chose me as their celebrant to create and deliver a wedding ceremony like no one else’s!

They both work in the film industry, and are a hardworking, driven, extrovert and fun-loving couple – so I knew we were going to have fun creating their ceremony!   We had a few video calls so I could listen to their ideas and plans (and get to know Tadhg their son) before creating their ceremony.

Helping and reassuring them through their marriage legalities. The couple were planning a DIY Boho Style Wedding in a friend of the family’s rustic barn. My daughter also volunteered my services & my garden – to create the bridal bouquet, using hydrangeas and gypsophilia which I really loved doing.

THE REHEARSAL.

This took place the day before wedding rehearsal at 5:30pm, I was staying overnight at a local Inn. Knowing everyone was exhausted with setting everything up for the wedding (I really do applaud them on doing everything themselves – it is such hard work).

Having got everyone involved in the ceremony’s attention, we chatted through and agreed the running order for the ceremony, making a few tweaks to the ceremony itself.

I left everyone feeling reassured that ALL would be well on the day (always expect the unexpected!)

THEIR WEDDING.

Aisling and Bjorn wanted a fun, relaxed, happy celebration with all their families and friends.

I created a unique wedding celebration ceremony with traditional elements, all of which guaranteed to keep their guests attention and ensure it would be memorable.  The day was gorgeous, a beautiful warm day, everyone looked amazing, the venue looked fabulous, all their hard work had really paid off.

We had a slight delay, which was no problem at all, as a few guests got stuck in traffic.

After welcoming everyone, instead of the outdated tradition of the bride being given away, we asked both sets of parents for their blessing and to continue to support them as a couple. A tense moment but I am pleased to say both sets of parents agreed unanimously!

The rest of the ceremony was awesome, guests “Ooooing” and “Ahhhhing” as they listened,  at the end the cheers for the happy couple was incredible.

A moment I will never ever forget –  along with meeting Ricky Gervais lookalike Tim Oliver(scroll to the bottom for a picture), is when I shared the marriage advice and secrets to a good marriage which guests had written during the ceremony – it was such fun!

Happy Ever After & lots of love to you Mr & Mrs Franklin!

AISLING’S REVIEW OF LOUISE & THE CEREMONY COMPANY

“We had heard how great Louise was before asking her to be our celebrant at our wedding.

Bjorn and I feel so blessed that even our expectations were dwarfed by what she actually brought to our wedding. Respect, passion, creativity, humour, and bundles of support which we needed running up to our big day.

She was so cool, calm and collected through our video chats, at our rehearsal and then on the day itself, the build-up to our ceremony and the ceremony itself.

I almost want a little pocket-sized version to carry around with me always!!

She welcomed our guests with a smile, had everyone crying, laughing and cheering and literally helped make our wedding as beautiful and as memorable as it could’ve been. We can’t thank her enough.

A & B x”

Olivia & Josh’s Wedding

I met them Liv and Josh at Cedar Farm coffee shop and discussed all things wedding, all their plans for their BIG day! They are a perfect match!

I must admit when my girlfriend Janet told me that her daughter Liv was getting married, I was over the moon.  I’ve had the pleasure of watching Liv grow from a tiny little girl into the beautiful woman that she is today.

Liv and Josh had said that they really had no idea for their ceremony, but they knew they wanted something more personal and fun, which is an excellent start!

Then COVID hit and all their plans altered.

After a heart-breaking time, they managed to find a UK Venue and what a venue it is! Middleton Lodge near Richmond WOW!  It really is a stunning place to celebrate a wedding.

It wasn’t until the week before that restrictions lifted, allowing most of their family and friends to be with them both!  Hooray!

THE WEDDING DAY.

After some of the worst weather ever, I think that Liv’s guardian angel was looking out for her, as the clouds dispersed and it was glorious, the sun was shining, the venue looked truly amazing, with all the flowers blooming in the garden.

The two urns filled with Gypsophila flowers perfectly framed where the bride and groom stood!

Josh was so calm, he never stopped smiling. I quickly popped to see Liv, and was blown away at how absolutely beautiful she looked.  Her mum Janet,  Dad Stevie and Man of Honour David were helping to keep her calm and relaxed.

All the guests were seated in the brilliant sunshine, the singers began, after a signal to say that the bride was ready, I asked everyone to stand and all heads turned as Janet and Man of Honour David walked in followed by Liv and her proud dad Stevie.  I know that I always say I get goosebumps at this part, but this day was really special.

I looked at Josh whose jaw had dropped as his beautiful bride, Liv walked towards him, she had the biggest smile on her face.  This truly was one of the best ever moments!

We started the personal wedding ceremony as we meant to go on, lighthearted, relaxed and with fun.

I welcomed everyone and then delivered a short love story of how the couple met and came to be, it was fantastic.

Liv and Josh shared heart felt and personal promises which they had written themselves, they chose to exchange and wear their wedding rings for the very first time, when the Best Man and Man of Honour were asked to step forward with the wedding rings, David our Man of Honour dropped the ring he was holding!   There was nothing but silence as the ring rolled along the floor,  poor David was mortified – but everyone saw the funny side, especially Josh and Liv! The sun was so hot, palms were very sweaty!

As I brought the ceremony to a close, proudly announcing Liv and Josh as “husband and wife”, there was an unbelievable sound of claps, cheers and whooooops as they kissed.

All guests gathered to carry out the confetti shot before they were invited onto the lawn to enjoy a glass of bubbles as the room was prepared for the meal.

Normally at this point I would wish the happy couple all the very best for their future and leave them to their celebrations.  But not this time! I was invited to the meal and the dancing!!  With the weather and beautiful setting and fabulous food and music – I had the best time!

Liv and Josh have shared all their fabulous photos, definitely some of the best I’ve seen and these are just a handful that I have chosen!

Thank you so much!
